YOUTH MINISTRY

HELPING STUDENTS BECOME FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE

BETHEL YOUTH MINISTRY

Whether you're in 6th grade or a high school senior, there's a place for you here. At Bethel Youth, we’re passionate about helping students know Jesus, grow in community, and live out their faith boldly.
From worship and teaching to games, small groups, and real conversations — Wednesday nights are a space where students can belong, be themselves, and be challenged to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Equipping and releasing students to do ministry.

Partnering with Parents through relationships and providing resources that reinforce a Biblical worldview.

Providing opportunities and experiences where students can build relationships, serve together, make common memories, and grow closer to God.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Students gather every Sunday during second service (10:30 AM) to connect, open God’s Word together, and grow in their walk with Christ. This is more equipping students to read the Bible on their own so that they can feed themselves outside of church.
  • Open to 6th–12th grade students
  • All 6-12th graders will meet in the Youth Room at 10:30 during second service
  • Teaching, discussion, and intentional community
Our midweek gatherings are high-energy, gospel-centered, and a ton of fun. There will always be games, worship, a Gospel-driven message, and small group time.
  • Middle School
    • 6:00 – 7:30 PM
    • Start in the Gym for games, then have teaching, and small group time designed just for 6th–8th graders.
  • High School
    • 6:00 – 7:30 PM
    • High schoolers begin in the Youth Room, join for worship, relevant teaching, and small groups that encourage real conversations and faith in action.
  • Combined Worship
    • Every Wednesday, all students (6th–12th grade) gather in the Youth Room for a time of worship & hearing the Word preached together.

Belize Mission Trip Student Application

The Belize Mission Trip - June 12-19 2027 - is a student ministry mission trip for the glory of God, the good of others, the strengthening of the local church, and the spiritual growth of our team as servants of Jesus Christ. This trip is not a vacation, a spiritual achievement badge, or a tourism experience with ministry attached. We are going to serve, learn, encourage, share the love of Jesus, and grow as disciples who are willing to follow Christ wherever He leads.

Because this is an international mission trip, the application process and expectations will have a higher bar than our regional/domestic mission trips. International ministry requires greater spiritual maturity, humility, flexibility, emotional readiness, team unity, and a willingness to submit to leadership. Applying for this trip does not guarantee acceptance. Each applicant will be prayerfully reviewed based on spiritual readiness, Gospel clarity, teachability, maturity, reliability, parent and reference input, available space, and the number of approved adult leaders.

Trip Information:

To be considered for the Belize Mission Trip, each applicant must be actively involved in Bethel Student Ministries and/or Bethel Church, demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus, complete the full application, participate in the required interview process if requested, receive parent/guardian support, and submit all required documents by the stated deadlines. Students must also be willing to participate in all required team trainings, fundraisers, service projects, book discussions, prayer gatherings, and the post-trip debrief.

Every participant will be required to complete assigned reading before the trip. The purpose of this requirement is to help our team think biblically, serve wisely, avoid harmful short-term mission mistakes, and grow in prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and cross-cultural humility. There will be 2 required books to read and discussion dates will be provided below. Students should expect to read, reflect, discuss, and apply what they are learning as part of team preparation.

This trip will require intentional spiritual preparation. Team members will be expected to pursue regular time with God through Scripture and prayer, participate in team prayer, share their testimony, practice explaining the Gospel, and grow in servant-hearted leadership. Students should come prepared not only to work hard, but to be spiritually stretched. Mission trips often reveal what is already happening in our hearts. For that reason, we want to prepare well before we go.
Every participant must have a valid passport book for international travel. A passport card is not sufficient for international air travel. BSM strongly recommends that passports be valid for at least six months after our return date. Students under 18 must submit all required parent/guardian consent forms, passport copies, and any additional travel documents by the stated deadline. Failure to submit travel documents on time may result in removal from the team.

Students and families should understand that international mission trips require significant financial commitment. Each student will be responsible for participating in team support raising & fundraising. Support raising is not merely a way to pay for the trip; it is an opportunity to invite others into prayer, generosity, and partnership in the mission of God. Students will be expected to send support letters, participate in team fundraisers, and take personal responsibility for their part of the trip cost.

Each student will be responsible for raising their support. The total cost of the trip will be $1,887 (including deposit). The cost you are responsible to raise is $1,687. Some students work, everyone will be required to send out 25 prayer/support letters, some families pay out of their budget. This is the first miracle God does on the trip! He provides.

Applications are live through September 13th.  The application must be submitted before or on September 13th - once accepted on the trip, a $200 non-refundable deposit is due within the week, or you risk losing your spot on the trip. There are a limited number of spots available. This deposit is so that Cody can book flights as soon as possible. After receiving and reviewing your application Cody will reach out with any questions if needed. By October 4th you will know whether you have been accepted on the trip.

Belize Leader Mission Trip Application

The Belize Mission Trip - June 12-19 2027 - is an international student ministry trip, and adult leaders will be selected prayerfully and intentionally. Serving as a leader on this trip is not simply serving as a chaperone, driver, or extra adult presence. Leaders are expected to help spiritually shepherd students, model Christlike maturity, protect team unity, submit to trip leadership, and represent Jesus, Bethel Church, and Bethel Student Ministries with humility and wisdom.

Submitting a leader application does not guarantee acceptance as a trip leader. Final leader selection will be based on spiritual maturity, current ministry involvement, trustworthiness, team needs, student-to-leader ratios, gender-specific supervision needs, prior experience with Bethel Student Ministries, active involvement at Bethel Church, and overall fit for this specific trip.
Priority will generally be given to adults who are currently serving in Bethel Student Ministries during the 2026–2027 ministry year, have served faithfully alongside Cody in Youth Ministry, are active members of Bethel Church, and have demonstrated consistent spiritual maturity, reliability, humility, and relational wisdom with students. Having a student on the trip may be considered, but it does not automatically qualify or prioritize someone as a leader. Parent leaders must be able to lead the whole team, not simply focus on their own student.
Because this is an international mission trip, leaders must be willing to participate fully in team preparation. Leaders are expected to attend required trainings, participate in prayer and book discussions, help lead students spiritually, support fundraising and logistics as needed, and attend the post-trip debrief. Leaders should be prepared to encourage students, correct students when necessary, help manage conflict, model flexibility, and serve wherever needed.

All leaders must be willing to submit to the direction of the Youth Director, PPM leadership, and local ministry partners. Leaders must also complete any required screening, background checks, child safety training, travel documents, and ministry expectations before final approval. If a leader is not already an active member of Bethel Church, additional pastoral approval may be required.

A leader may not be selected for reasons including but not limited to limited leader spots, lack of current Youth Ministry involvement, lack of active church involvement, concerns about spiritual maturity or reliability, inability to attend trainings, unresolved conflict, concerns related to team unity, insufficient relational connection with students, or because the leadership team determines that another adult is a better fit for the needs of this trip.

Every participant must have a valid passport book for international travel. A passport card is not sufficient for international air travel. BSM strongly recommends that passports be valid for at least six months after our return date.
